Welcome to SUMAQ TRAVEL.
By booking a journey with us, the client agrees to the following terms and conditions. We therefore highly recommend reviewing this document carefully prior to confirming your reservation

1. COMPANY IDENTIFICATION

SUMAQ TRAVEL is a boutique agency specializing in private and luxury experiences throughout Peru. We operate in accordance with international standards for responsible and sustainable tourism.

2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By making a reservation with SUMAQ TRAVEL, the client acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions. This establishes the contractual relationship between the agency and the traveler.

3. BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

3.1 Booking Process

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
To confirm, a non-refundable initial deposit of 50% of the total trip value is required.
The reservation will be confirmed once we receive the deposit and the payment receipt.

3.2 Final Payment

The full payment must be completed 60 days prior to the start of the trip.
For bookings made less than 60 days in advance, full payment must be made immediately.

3.3 Payment Methods

We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and secure payment platforms.
It is important to note that all bank charges and fees are the responsibility of the traveler.

4. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

4.1 Cancellation by the Client

More than 90 days before: 70% refund of the total payment.
Between 60 and 89 days before: 50% refund.
Less than 60 days before: No refunds.
Since costs may vary depending on suppliers (hotels, transportation, guides), we recommend purchasing travel insurance.

4.2 Modification or Cancellation by SUMAQ TRAVEL

In cases of force majeure (natural disasters, political unrest, security issues, extreme weather), SUMAQ TRAVEL may modify or cancel a trip. In such cases, rescheduling or a partial refund will be offered, with administrative fees and incurred costs deducted.

5. LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

5.1 Liability of SUMAQ TRAVEL

We act as intermediaries between the traveler and the service providers.
We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes operated by third parties.
Furthermore, we do not assume responsibility for losses, theft, illness, or accidents.

5.2 Traveler’s Responsibilities

The traveler must:

Hold a valid passport, necessary visas, and required vaccinations.
Respect local laws and regulations at each destination.

5.3 Travel Insurance

We recommend purchasing international insurance that covers cancellations, medical emergencies, and loss of luggage.
SUMAQ TRAVEL is not responsible for medical expenses or repatriations.

6. ITINERARIES AND MODIFICATIONS

All itineraries are subject to changes due to weather conditions, regulations, or availability of services.
If necessary, we may modify the travel route to ensure the safety and well-being of the traveler.
Any changes requested by the traveler after confirmation may incur additional costs.

7. TRAVELER CONDUCT AND TOUR EXPULSION

SUMAQ TRAVEL reserves the right to expel any traveler who:

Endangers the safety of the group.
Violates local laws.
Exhibits aggressive or disrespectful behavior.
In such cases, no refund or compensation will be provided.

8. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

We comply with data protection laws.
The traveler’s information will be used exclusively for trip management and will not be shared without their consent.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on the website (texts, images, and videos) is the property of SUMAQ TRAVEL.
It may not be reproduced without prior authorization.

10. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

This contract is governed by Peruvian law and applicable international tourism regulations.
In the event of a dispute, the parties submit to the courts of Peru.
